I was checking out the competition's website when I came across your exquisite necklace, so it was very much a pleasure to be able to include you in the article! I've seen stingray only once when someone took some skins out of his vault, and among his exotic collection, the stingray was the one I couldn't stop from staring at. Doubtful I'll ever work with it myself because of the difficulties cutting and stitching it. Do you use a knife that leatherworkers use, or is there some other specific knife that you use?

Stingray skin is very intriguing...definitely one of the most beautiful exotic leathers I've seen. I wish I could say that I used special tools to work the leather, but my operation was rather crude. I used scissors to cut the shape...It was definitely a difficult task though...my hands were red when I was done. lol. The leather is very tough. Thanks for the question!

I saw you in the inside cover ad for Art Jewelry magazine yesterday. I've been looking all over for it at home but I guess I somehow bought Jewelry Artist instead. Driving me crazy because I could have sworn I bought both, oh well. Anyway, stingray has been used throughout the centuries and makes me wonder what the ancient Egyptians used to cut it with and if we'll ever have those kinds of answers.

Thank you! I don't have a store yet. My jewelry work is on hiatus due to school, but I will update my journal when my work is available for retail later this year.
